Years ago, I was diagnosed with Lyme disease. Lyme was just beginning to be reported. I developed a fear that I was misdiagnosed and there was something else causing my symptoms.
Fear then set in that the drug I was given would not completely wipe it out, and it would show up in my blood years later. All of these “what-if” thoughts led to severe anxiety manifested by frequent, severe panic attacks. My “what-if” thoughts were driving me crazy!!
My panic attacks culminated in a very dramatic scene. It was 10 PM, and I was away from home by myself in a hotel. All of a sudden, I began to feel very dizzy. I knew it was my panic setting in. I was scared and desperate.
I immediately laid down on the bed on my back with my arms stretched out wide. I began to cry out to God. I said, “God, I cannot take this anymore. Either take away this dizziness or take my life now.” I opened my eyes and sat up slowly. Lo and behold, the dizziness was gone. I could get up and walk around.
What followed was nothing short of a miracle. From that night on, I was picked up from the depths of despair and guided along a path to health by an amazing, powerful, all-knowing God. He gave me the resources and strength to make changes in myself and in my life that I could never have done on my own. I did not know it was God at the time.
Not long after that night in the hotel, a friend of mine who had a certain peace about her that I really wanted, led me to Jesus. I'm blessed to be able to say decades later, that my special relationship with God continues to be the source of my relief from feelings of anxiety, fear, and worry. He fills me with joy each and every day, to the point where I look forward to spending time with Him and expressing my gratitude to Him. One very exciting aspect of this relationship is that it manifests itself in everyday interaction. God "speaks" with me through my thoughts ( biblically, this is known a His "still, small voice.") He also sends me "signs" that I have gotten to recognize that could only be from Him.
Writing this free course was a labor of love, a love for God. It gives me heartfelt joy to be able to distribute this to anyone who desires more joy, love, and peace in your life. It excites me to know that this course will lead those who choose to partake, to have the ability to awaken each day knowing you will sense God's amazing and comforting presence throughout your day. That presence has dramatically changed my life for the better in a myriad of ways, and I pray it will do the same for you. Please keep in mind that this special relationship is possible for anyone willing to accept the fact that God is sovereign (in control) and is willing and able to put in the time and effort that it takes to have such an ongoing relationship with Him. If I can offer any support, please feel free to reach out to me.
